Join us for LIVE events about the VCF & WTC Health Program Sept 7th & 8th
911 Health Watch, along with The FealGood Foundation and The FealGood Education & Outreach Program, is hosting two important Facebook Live events Thursday, Sept. 7 and Friday, Sept. 8 at 11 A.M. You can watch the segments live on the 911 Health Watch Facebook page.
In the meantime, we need your help to get the word out to 9/11 responders and survivors, as well as their families, so please share this email. Below you’ll find details on both events, as well as more information on how to share event information.
Thursday, Sept. 7 will be the first of two Facebook Live events at 11 A.M and will feature the Special Master of the Sept. 11 Victim Compensation Fund, Rupa Bhattacharyya. The half-hour, live program will focus on explaining how the compensation fund works, who may qualify and where to go for more information. Responders and volunteers who were injured or made ill at Ground Zero, the Pentagon or the Shanksville crash site on 9/11 should tune in, along with lower Manhattan survivors — residents, students and workers who were in the area on and/or after 9/11 who were also injured or made ill.
On Friday, Sept. 8 at 11 A.M., our focus will shift to the World Trade Center Health Program, which provides medical treatment and medical monitoring for 9/11-related conditions for responders and survivors. During this half-hour Facebook Live event, Dr. John Howard, WTC Health Program Administrator, will explain the medical treatment and medical monitoring that may be available for responders and volunteers who were at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and the Shanksville crash site, and also for survivors — residents, workers or students in lower Manhattan (below Houston Street) or in Northwest Brooklyn — on 9/11 and/or in the subsequent months, and who now have 9/11-related illnesses. Dr. Howard will also answer common questions that responders and survivors have related to the program. This medical assistance is available not only in the New York Metropolitan area but across the country. Anyone who thinks they may qualify, or who knows someone who may qualify should tune in.
